Pianist and arranger Ivan Garford leads a quartet of top-tier musicians, joined by vocalist Sarah Lamont, to bring fresh life to Christmas classics and seasonal standards. Expect elegant swing, soulful interpretations, and a relaxed, intimate atmosphere perfect for the library setting.

  • Ivan Garford – keyboards
    A much-loved local pianist known for his lyrical touch and stylish arrangements, Ivan is equally at home in straight-ahead jazz, swing, and more delicate, atmospheric pieces.
  • David Franklin – saxes
    David brings a warm, expressive tone to both alto and tenor sax, combining classic jazz phrasing with modern melodic ideas. He’s a long-established figure on the regional jazz scene.
  • Mark Rose – double bass
    A rock-solid rhythm section player with decades of experience, Mark’s rich acoustic sound and steady groove underpin the quartet with effortless musicality.
  • Derek Scurll – drums
    One of the area’s most versatile drummers, Derek is admired for his subtle brushwork, tasteful swing, and dynamic control — equally supportive and inventive.
  • Sarah Lamont – vocals
    Sarah’s smooth, expressive voice adds a touch of sophistication and warmth. Her interpretations of Christmas standards blend jazz phrasing with an inviting, soulful clarity.
